Diversity Day 2023 at the Halesowen College

Halesowen college ‘ Diversity Day ‘ event.  Kerry and Omar delivered a basic Deaf awareness session and gave the students an insight into their lives as Deaf people. A couple of the topics they discussed were statistics of Deafness and communication tactics. Poetry-clown Talia Randall has created and will be hosting an exciting event! This event showcases local and national artists in a variety of performances such as drag, rap, experimental sound, punk poems, political satire, British Sign Language poetry and a more traditional spoken word line-up. This event will feature drag humour from Ginger Johnson, stunning poetry from Rachel Long, beatbox spoken word from Jasmine Gardosi, Visual Vernacular from Ishtiaq Hussain and British Sign Language poetry
