Let’s have a look back at what last year had in store for Ish’s VV World. What a fantastic year it was, let’s hope this year is even better!
Ish’s VV World put on a spectacular performance at the Southbank Theatre in London on the 17th December. Ish performed his coronavirus piece called ‘Unlocked’. The audience loved it and many of them expressed they had never seen VV before. It was part of a collection of performances for the ‘What words are ours’ event hosted by Talia Randall. Poetry-clown Talia Randall has created and will be hosting an exciting event! This event showcases local and national artists in a variety of performances such as drag, rap, experimental sound, punk poems, political satire, British Sign Language poetry and a more traditional spoken word line-up. This event will feature drag humour from Ginger Johnson, stunning poetry from Rachel Long, beatbox spoken word from Jasmine Gardosi, Visual Vernacular from Ishtiaq Hussain and British Sign Language poetry

Ish’s VV World was given an oppourtunity to show the world the impressive art form of Visual Vernacular at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham. These energy filled performaces were shown on massive screens in front of huge crowds at various different venues.
