Performances in Community Gardens across the Black Country

Scatter a generous handful of artists over a number of beautiful green urban spaces. Then stand back and watch what grows as they respond to the mixed fauna and flora of the gardens and generally revel in the muck and fresh air.

Where We Grow celebrates community gardens and the local people who work, volunteer and spend precious time in them. Local artists have been spending time in four community gardens across the Black Country, meeting and having conversations with the people there. Four short performances have grown from these spaces and people, incorporating poetry, music, visual vernacular and spoken word. The performances will be scattered throughout each garden across four days in September and will take place multiple times each day, so you can drop in between 12pm – 4pm and enjoy each one at leisure as you explore these beautiful spaces.

Free to attend, no booking required. Performances will be BSL interpreted.
