Diversity Day 2023 at the Halesowen College

Halesowen college ‘ Diversity Day ‘ event.  Kerry and Omar delivered a basic Deaf awareness session and gave the students an insight into their lives as Deaf people. A couple of the topics they discussed were statistics of Deafness and communication tactics. VV Performance at the Southbank Centre – Saturday 17th December 2022

Ish’s VV World put on a spectacular performance at the Southbank Theatre in London on the 17th December. Ish performed his coronavirus piece called ‘Unlocked’. The audience loved it and many of them expressed they had never seen VV before. It was part of a collection of performances for the ‘What words are ours’ event hosted by Talia Randall. What Words Are Ours?

Poetry-clown Talia Randall has created and will be hosting an exciting event! This event showcases local and national artists in a variety of performances such as drag, rap, experimental sound, punk poems, political satire, British Sign Language poetry and a more traditional spoken word line-up. This event will feature drag humour from Ginger Johnson, stunning poetry from Rachel Long, beatbox spoken word from Jasmine Gardosi, Visual Vernacular from Ishtiaq Hussain and British Sign Language poetry
